Midweek and the fun continues. Pacesetter Stakes at Gosford provided another monster overlay winner.

RAGS TO RICHES has won 5 from 12 on Dead ground but has failed to win in 9 Slow track efforts? If the track upgrades to Dead then you could shorten the geldings price by around 3 basic points to 5/1 so do WATCH for an upgrade. Naturally, the bet would also increase

VIEWED was super impressive in downing Musket and Nuclear Sky by 3¾ lens over 2000m in the Japan Trophy at Randwick back in April. That race was run on Dead ground and should get similar conditions in today’s event. Query is the extra 400m but only has 54½k and has the services of BIG race maestro Damien Oliver.

ROYAL LAKES usually improves dramatically 2nd up and the engagement of Brad Rawiller is a distinct positive. Brad won a Winter Championship heat at Ballarat this time last year.

MENTALITY should be ready to put his best foot forward- 4yo’s 3rd run in and given 4 week freshening. First test at Canterbury but is an adaptable type with the ‘maestro’ Darren Beadman onboard.  GOOD BET at good odds!      $35 recommended bet.

RACING TO WIN --The amount of improvement might not be all that great after 4 wks so taking below our price is a risk that might not be worth taking. No BET at bad odds.

TUESDAY JOY came home strongly from 8th @ turn to get to within a head of Casino Prince over the Randwick 1600m 2nd up. Does best when allowed to get back and come home. This track is not ideal for this type of horse so there are risks associated with taking below our required odds. Has one of Australia’s best jockey’s in Darren Beadman onboard so you can expect him to win or go very close. $45 recommended bet.

ZUPAONE can be devastating 2nd up as witnessed by his demolition of Amyjaye Power in the Spring Stakes under WFA conditions back in August 07. Failed miserably first-up when 7.6 lens down the track behind Éclair Passion…. IF there is nothing amiss - he should win.SMS Sent "Bet 30 Units"

CONISTON GEM is early favourite however is certainly fallible. Watch the odds! Too slick to dismiss. SMS sent "Bet  40 Units"

NUCLEAR SKY is up there as a main contender. SMS sent  "Take on Musket at the silly odds-on price and Bet No. 10  Nuclear Sky Bet 12 Units"
